I had a little incident with my cell phone the other day. I'd set it on the counter while I was in the bathroom, and my lovely daughter knocked it into the toilet when she decided to flush for me (thanks, kid). So, down went my Razr. I didn't realize what had happened at first, but the look of horror on her face alerted me to the missing phone. Thankfully, it popped back up and I yanked it out.
Of course, just that morning, Mike had been griping at me for letting the baby play with my phone. "If he breaks it, you're not getting a new one. All your phone accessories will be garbage and you'll be without a phone," he said. Now, it wasn't the baby's fault. It wasn't even the big girl's fault. But I was not looking forward to him getting home from work that night!
Anyway, I took the phone apart as best I could, dried everything out and kept my fingers crossed. I was dreading a trip to Verizon to replace the damn thing, plus all the ridiculous add-ons (car charger, especially -- those are expensive). We don't have the money for that right now, and I really didn't want to be phone-less for any amount of time.
Fast forward to the next afternoon. I decide, after many failed attempts, to give it another try. The Razr powered right up, and I was able to make calls and send texts. Hooray!! I don't have to replace any of my cell phone accessories now, and I can keep my fancy Razr. Apprently, those things are flush-proof!
