We have had some mold issues in the past, mostly with our air conditioning but also with our basement since it is damp down there. We didn't use the space much this summer, but now that fall is coming and the kids will be playing inside more often, I want to make sure that we keep the mold away down there.
To that end, I've decided to look into dehumidifiers. I am hoping that they will reduce the amount of moisture in the air downstairs, so that the mold won't be inspired to grow.
I also want to get an air purifier just to be on the safe side. The idea of the kids and I breathing in anything unhealthy is really scary to me.
Does anyone have a recommendation for good products that will clean the air and keep the nasty mold away?
