Most of the time, when I want to read something that will make me laugh, I click over to Failblog, Lamebook, or DamnYouAutoCorrect -- all three of those blogs never fail to make me laugh until there are tears streaming down my face. Lately, though, my kids have been really into telling jokes, actual, say-them-out-loud jokes.
Sadly, I only know one joke myself . . . the one about the three little pigs, out to dinner, and the one little pig who ordered only water. If you don't know it, feel free to comment and I'll tell you. I have to say, it is a funny one, though it might just make you groan a little.
However, one joke doesn't get me very far with the kids, and if I can't think of any others, they start to come up with their own -- and let's just say that I don't appear to be raising the next generation of George Carlins and Eddie Izzards. These kids, they just can't write good comedy. Recently, I've turned to the internet to try to help them out, and fortunately, I was able to find some really funny joke sites.
If you're in the mood to laugh at some clever jokes -- instead of looking at the pages I mention above, which mostly highlight other peoples' failures in one way or another -- check out BoringJokes.com. You won't be bored at all!
