We have less than two months left until we depart for New England and Canada on Norwegian's cruise ship. I'm really excited -- I need to get away and I am looking forward to a relaxing time with my boyfriend and kids. Spending time with the three of them -- uninterrupted and without anyone else around -- is my favorite thing.
In the interest of getting ready for vacay (yes, I say "vacay," Legally Blonde is one of my favorite movies), I started looking up some travel guides. I was hoping to find some reviews and pointers from people who had been on a cruise like the one we're taking. So far, I haven't found anything, but I have found a lot of travel reviews and information for the New England and eastern Canada area.
I love reading about other people's vacations. It gets me excited about my own and gives me good ideas for the future. I don't think I'll ever feel like I've seen enough of the world. Someone should pay me to write a travel guide -- I'd certainly be an enthusiastic tourist!
We are buying a new car -- a truck actually -- and this means that our auto insurance rates will be going down! Since Mike is getting a practical pick-up truck, he'll be able to add it to our discount farm policy instead of paying for it separately the way we currently pay for our SUV insurance.
Once we finish paying for the new truck, it'll be my turn again. I really want a Toyota Prius. I see them everywhere I go now and it is making me crazy. I told Mike the other day that I feel like they're snickering at me and teasing me, "Ha ha, you'll never get me." Naturally, he thinks I'm crazy.
Either way, that will be another big savings on our car insurance. Plus, my speeding tickets are nearly three years old which means my better driving record will add to our savings (if I don't screw up again before then)! I can't wait. I am excited for Mike to get his new, dream truck, but I am ready for a new car, too!
